Meet the Team - Ko wai mātou 2024

I am so excited to join the summer learning journey team this year! I spent 8 years teaching in schools in the Manaiakalani cluster and I loved watching my students learn, create and share over the summer break.
In my spare time I love to go on adventures with my two young children. You’ll find us on bush walks, at the beach or checking out museums. I also love to read, paint and make music.
I look forward to seeing all of your wonderful summer creations!

I am very excited to be working for the Manaiakalani Education Trust over the summer and supporting the students in our Summer Learning Journey.
I have just completed my second year of teaching at an intermediate in the Kapati region .
I grew up in the Sunny region of Northland in a small, beach town called Ruakaka. Here grew my love for the outdoors as we spent most weekends swimming, tramping, and exploring our beautiful country.
I enjoy board games, playing music, hiking, skiing, and travelling - not much of that happening at the moment though.
I am looking forward to getting to know connect with a lot of learners over the summer.

I have been working with Manaiakalani and the Summer Learning Journey as a blog commenter for five years now!
I work in the Horowhenua region as an intermediate school teacher, my favourite thing to teach them about is New Zealand History. I hope to have my class participating in the Summer Learning Journey this year.
I grew up in the Far, Far North surrounded by the beaches so I spent a lot of my time outside swimming. In my spare time I like to paint, read and listen to music. I enjoy spending time outdoors, exploring new places and meeting new people.
I am really looking forward to getting to know all you bloggers and seeing everyone's awesome posts this summer!

Kia ora koutou! I’m excited to be part of the 2024-2025 Summer Learning Journey commenting team. I can’t wait to see all the amazing learning and growth happening this summer!
After teaching for 10 years at a wonderful Glen Taylor school, I’ve been fortunate to join the Manaiakalani Research Team, where my main focus is on supporting teachers and students in their mathematical journey.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting local galleries, attending performing arts events, reading, and exploring the outdoors.
I’m looking forward to seeing the creativity and enthusiasm you all bring to your summer blogs. Can’t wait to check out your posts!
